Lychee Candy Packaging

In a special topics course about Packaging Design, I was given the challenge of redesigning the branding and packaging for a product of my choice. I chose Lychee Candy, and decided that I wanted to create a packaging that wasn’t merely intended to be thrown away.

My redesigned package is hexagonal in shape, and has an intricate lid at the top created with interlocking tabs.

Oscar Wilde Branding

The task at hand: to create a brand for a historical figure. Oscar Wilde lived in the late 19th century, so I was inspired to use a Victorian color palette and a pairing of two serif typefaces for the branding.

Oscar Wilde was particularly known for his fashion choices and hair, which is the origin of the logo.

Seven Squared Booklet

Using the information from a vintage ad, I explored multiple ways to display
hierarchy in typography. With each slide shown, there was a theme to its intention, making all show the same text and information, while creating a unique spin on its display. The ad I used was about cigarettes.

I chose browns and tans for my color scheme to play into that haziness of cigarette smoke. That same theme is also carried over in the fluidity of some of my text placement.

Fall Living Expo Poster

During my time at the LSU Office of Student Media, I created the ad campaign
for a semi-annual event, the Living Expo. This poster is one of the many ads I created for this event.

The Living Expo is an event for apartments in the area to introduce themselves to LSU students so that they may get an idea of what housing opportunities they have available to them. The hope is that students would “Fall in love with
their new home.”
